Goa Vidyaprasarak Mandal (GVM)

GVM was founded by visionaries like Dr. Dada Vaidya, Shri Sitaram Kerkar and Shri Vinayak Sarjyotishi in the year 1911. The intention of the founders was not merely to impart formal education for white collared jobs but to bring up the future generation of Goans who would be proud of our our rich and varied cultural heritage and who would, with confidence, shoulder responsibilities in the task of nation-building.

There are more than 350 members of the teaching and non-teaching staff working in the institutions of the Mandal. There are over 7500 students under the Institutions of the Management

The Mandal is a democratically run organisation which has a General Body of over 350 members which elect a Working Committee for a period of 3 years.
